Raft Guide – Kicking Horse

Job application deadline: April 1, 2024

What better place to spend a summer, than on the back of a SOTAR Raft? We are looking for vibrant, experienced white water raft guides to work at our Kicking Horse River Operation. The Kicking Horse is classified as a class 4 river. Accommodation for our guides can be arranged during the interview process. Please submit resumes to; [email protected]

Job Duties / Required Skills / Certifications
-Experienced paddle/oar guiding class 4 rivers and up
-Current Wilderness First Aid certificate or equivalent
-Current Swift Water Rescue certificate or equivalent
-Up to date log book illustrating past rivers and duties
-Great communication skills (Being entertaining is always an asset!)
-We are looking for a team player interested in outdoor pursuits and lifestyle!

Raft Guide – Kootenay River

We would love to welcome a new staff member to our office at the Kootenay River! Instead of sitting behind a desk, pull up a seat on the back of a raft! Bus Driver and Photographer Extraordinaire

We are in need of a bus driver/ photographer for our Toby Creek trips for the 2022 season. Toby Creek is located in the beautiful Panorama Mountain Village Resort, just a short drive from Invermere. A perfect candidate would have a Class 2 Driver’s License, a keen eye for photography and the ability to hang out the side of the bus to take photos while driving… Ok, maybe not the last skill but the first two definitely. Rafting Office Coordinator

Kootenay River Runners is looking for energetic and outgoing people to work as part of the KRR team in our Radium Hot Springs Office.

Job Duties / Required Skills:
– Must be enthusiastic with great people skills
– Must demonstrate a desire to learn and be a fast learner
– Be able to perform well under pressure (think on your feet)
– Good computer skills
– Must be able to work as part of a team and also on your own
– Good computer skills
– Valid driver’s licence
– Experience with cash and a background in reservations would be an asset
– Must be flexible and willing to take on any duties related to the operation of whitewater rafting on
Kootenay , Kicking Horse and Toby Creek that may arise.

Bus Driver “Transport Wizard”

Water isn’t the only highway we travel on here at Kootenay River Runners! We need a few key staff members to drive our guests, guides and gear from A to B! We need someone to man the helm of our buses: Hollywood, The Cool Bus and Blue Betsy to name a few! Base Camp Coordinator

We’re looking for an extraordinary individual for our Base Camp Coordinator at the Kicking Horse base camp in Golden BC! If you are the type of person who likes to be challenged at work by doing different things every day – you should send us your resume! There are a number of tasks to be completed every day while holding this position – assisting the river guides with getting guests where they need to be, checking in rafting guests, collecting payments, transport of guides and gear at the river put-ins to name a few, phew! Our wish list for you: great communication skills with guests, guides and the central office of Kootenay River Runners, very organized, and be able to work in a dynamic environment!
