5 Things to do in the Columbia Valley!
1. White Water Rafting – of course, this blog couldn’t be complete unless we mentioned that while you’re here, you have to stop by out office to try one of our three rivers! We offer trips for ages as young as five, and have a trip for everyone. Try our Kootenay or Toby Creek Rivers for a trip for the whole family, or our Kicking Horse for the white water adventure of a life time! 2. Golf – the Valley is known for it amazing golf – from family friendly par 3 courses to challenging courses for experienced golfers, we have it all. With our early springs and hot summers, you cant go wrong with a day on the course.
3. Beaches- There’s plenty of beaches in the Valley to cool off after a long day. Not to mention plenty of natural lakes and waterfalls in the national park to explore. There’s two great public beaches in the town next to our main office in Invermere. Just after you enter the town, you can stop at James Chabot beach, or through the downtown core you can head over to Kinsmen Beach. The town also has plenty of places to rent paddle boards or kayaks to explore the wetlands!
4. Hiking- There’s plenty of beautiful hikes surrounding our office- with breathtaking views, and a wide range of difficulty levels, there’s many hikes to choose from. Try the Hoodoos for a short hike for the whole family or Mount Swansea for all kinds of adventures! Just the other day, we went to check out Lower Bugaboo Falls!
After a day on the #river we love to get out for an amazing #hike in our own #backyard ⛰ One of our favourites is #lowerbugaboofalls 🏔⛰🗻#kootenayriverrunners #kootenayraft #hiking #hikingadventures #raftingtherockies #waterfall #kootrocks #mountains #explorebc #backcountry #adventure #glacierwater #nature

5. Check out Downtown – We’re lucky enough to be located in and around towns full of great local businesses. While you’re here, you can always check out our assortment of local shops including art galleries, gift shops, cafes and restaurants! Finish your day off with dinner and a view at any of the local patios!
Can’t wait to see you and enjoy exploring the Columbia Valley!
